One Hundred Days To Make Me A Better Person
Last week on Absolute Radio, comedian Joise Long rocked up late onto the Iain Lee show to briefly talk about a project that she is spearheading called ‘One Hundred Days To Make Me A Better Person‘
In a nutshell, people have to pledge to do things for 100 days that will end up making them better people.
Pledges have ranged from writing a book, drawing a daily picture, talking to strangers, learning to knit.
I’m sure you get the idea by now.
I decided that it would be rather fun to take part in this event. Now, I’m interested in the whole ‘Make Me A Better Person’ idea, and so I thought about how I can become a better person in 100 days, after a bit of thought, I came up with the answer — The Thundercats!
Yes, as a child, I learnt my morals from children’s television, this was back in the 80’s where the cartoons on offer were chocked full of messages on how to be a good person.
Throughout my youth, I was rarely in trouble at school, and never had a detention, so programmes like Thundercats must have been responsible for my good behaviour, right?
So, my hundred day pledge is to watch all 128 episodes of the Thundercats, and to report back on my blog and via podcast all the things I have learnt from each episode. Not only will this make me into a better person again, but it will also make readers and listeners to my venture also become better people. What a service I am providing!
What is most exciting about watching all of the Thundercats’ episodes is that only season 1 was shown on UK television, so I have 64 new episodes to look forward to! Also, 128 doesn’t fit inside the 100 day duration, so on some days I will have to watch TWO episodes, it’s a tough task, but that’s the lengths I will go to in order to help you and me to become better people.

The complete Thundercats DVD collection that I will be watching over the next 100 days. Currently all the DVDs are still shrink-wrapped, that's how new they are!
